A building block approach to race equality in health
Checking for Change is a race equality audit framework which builds on the targets required of Boards under race legislation and policy guidance. It concentrates on the "how to" and gives examples of how progress can be made and what it might look and feel like. The intention of the framework is to support area and special NHS Boards with making progress in terms of race equality outcomes.

Ethnic Monitoring Toolkit
(in partnership with Information Services Division)
The Toolkit incorporates guidelines and training resources to support the planning and implementation of patient ethnicity within NHS Scotland. It includes policy and legal background plus guidance on project management and ethnicity classifications. A substantial part of the Toolkit is a Communications Guidelines section which incorporates many suggestions for communications approaches and some draft communications materials.

(a hand held record for Gypsy/Travellers)
Gypsy/Travellers in Scotland have been asking for a portable health care record to improve their access to health care, particularly when they are travelling. The handheld record has been produced in the form of an A5 booklet contained within a yellow plastic envelope.
