About Us
- NRCEMH
-
The National Resource Centre for Ethnic Minority Health (NRCEMH) is a unit of NHS Health Scotland
and assists NHS Boards to develop sensitive and culturally competent services to black and minority
ethnic groups, to reduce inequalities and to improve the health of these communities.

Established in 2002 under the Scottish Executive's Fair for All guidance,
NRCEMH supports Boards on delivery of their duties under this guidance and under the Race Relations

- Partnership Working
-
NRCEMH works in partnership with many other units of NHS Scotland and beyond.
-
Our key partners include organisations and individuals in black and minority ethnic
communities and statutory and voluntary bodies working with these communities.
-
We work closely with the Patient Focus Public Involvement team in the Scottish
Executive Health Department, with all Scottish NHS Boards and with the other
"equality units" supporting Boards:
